What you can do to help Companion Connection:

1) Companion Connection depends on donations to feed, house and provide medical care for all the animals at the sanctuary.  See our Wish List here or visit Amazon   We are also in need of volunteers to help keep the village clean and the furbabies socialized.  If you can help us in any way, we would love to hear from you.

2) Our Sponsorship Program raises money for Companion Connection by connecting cats and dogs housed at our sanctuary with animal lovers like you! The best part is you can be a sponsor from anywhere - no matter where you live. Companion Connection provides a home to approximately 15+ cats and several dogs at any given time.  Many of these companion animals require special medical attention, are not completely socialized,  or are unlikely to be adopted due to other reasons.  These companion animals may live out their lives at the sanctuary, if necessary, and we are dedicated to providing them the love and medical care they need.  By being a member of our Sponsorship Program, your donations help cover the costs of caring for these companion animals and the sanctuary they live in. Any amount will help.  If you are interested in sponsoring a Companion Connection animal, please contact us at VillageRescue@gmail.com .  And your donations are tax deductible!

3)  The next time you’re at Randalls, Remember to link your Remarkable Card to our number 12572 and your purchases will be credited to our account. Randalls will pay us a percentage of our account total. At NO COST to you, so be sure to use your card every time you shop.  Ask the checker to link your Remarkable Card to 12572. You only need to do it once, help us raise funds the easy way!

HELP HELP HELP!

Companion Connection needs your help to pay off the incurred medical bills for our sanctuary cats.  We still owe the credit card company about $2,000.00

Can you help?  $5, $10, or whatever you can spare will help a lot if everyone pitches in and shares our need.

Companion Connection does not take owner surrender animals; rather, we try to educate how the companion animal can remain in the family and provide guidance when and where we are able.

If you have lost your companion animal, contact the Animal Control with the Elgin Police Department, Bastrop County Animal Shelter or Austin Animal Center.   Please note that Elgin, TX no longer has an animal shelter, only the Animal Control Officer working under the Elgin Police Department.  Strays picked up by Elgin Animal Control are taken to Bastrop County Animal Shelter on Cool River Drive.

Nitro Needs a Furever Home!

This sweet boy really deserves his own family to love.  He has been here almost a year and is learning bad habits from the sanctuary cats—like hiding when a new person comes.

However, after a few visits, Nitro has gotten used to all our volunteers.  He really is a lover, and he really deserves his own home and family.

He gets along with other cats almost instantly, uses the litter box, is microchipped, neutered and current on vaccines.

Please give Nitro a chance to show you he would be your purrfect partner!

Critical Needs for  Mia and Smoke!

Mia had been at the sanctuary since December 2015.  She took some time, but became such a loving kitty.  And she caught the attention of a previous adopter that had lost his furbaby earlier in 2017.  Mia was adopted December 2017 and moved to College Station.  Within a week, her person noticed she had developed a bit of a dry cough.  After two veterinary visits, it was determined that Mia has severe asthma and pneumonia!   Everyone, I have never adopted a cat or dog out that was sick.  How this was missed during her checkup, we just don’t know.  But Bob has fallen deeply in love with Mia and wants to help her get better.  I’ve seen one bill that was just under $800!

Donations can be made using our PayPal Donation button.  Just put “For Mia” in the comments section and the money will go directly for her care.

Smoke is a darling, petite little lady who brought herself to Companion Connection the end of November 2017.  She was skin and bones and had a horrible infection in both ears.  Now that her ear infection is cleared, she has a kidney infection!  Just to figure this out ran us over $400!!   We could use help for the expenses incurred to date and for her upcoming spay (once she is healthy enough.)

Donations can be made using our PayPal Donation button.  Just put “For Smoke” in the comments section and the money will go directly for her care.  She will also be up for adoption after her spay!
