Austin Boxer Rescue

If you donít find the perfect dog at Companion Connection, try this great boxer rescue.† Austin Boxer Rescue, located in Austin Texas, is a non-profit organization that branched off from Lone Star Boxer Rescue of Houston. ABR is made up entirely of volunteers who are dedicated to removing dogs from bad situations and placing them into loving permanent homes. We receive dogs from shelters, owners, and dogs found as strays. The dogs in rescue are rehabilitated medically, socialized and are taught basic manners.  We service Austin, San Antonio, Temple, and the surrounding areas.

Tejas Coonhound Rescue & American Foxhound Rescuers is a coalition of tall scent hound rescue groups throughout Texas and southern Oklahoma.  This coalition does not have a specific website.  If you are looking for tall scent hounds - coonhounds, foxhounds or Bloodhounds - please contact Jerry Dunham (Jdunham@texas.net), founder and moderator of the TejasCoonhoundRescue Yahoo! group.

From The Heart Animal Rescue:† Our mission is to serve the underserved -- the abandoned, orphaned, abused, injured and special needs animals which have nowhere else to turn and to provide the love and care they never had until a forever home is found.

Ay Chihuahua Rescue is a newly formed, all volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of the Chihuahua breed.  We are a Texas Nonprofit Corporation and are actively working toward our 501(c)3 designation.† Our love of the Chihuahua breed urged us to action when the plea for a breed specific rescue group was placed.  Chihuahuas have the second highest euthanasia rate in Central Texas and it is our belief this is due to overpopulation.  We strive not only to rescue, but to owner-educate and provide spay/neuter options when available.  We are a lifelong resource for all dogs adopted through our program and hold annual meet-ups for continuing education and assistance.† Email: info@aychihuahuarescue.org

Katyís Promise Rottweiler Rescue:

This rescue focuses on puppies, often dumped in shelters and on the streets, unwanted by their indiscriminate breeders.  Often very ill, these new lives are nurtured in a home setting, provided extensive medical care and socialization with other animals and people of all ages.  Only when they are physically and emotionally prepared for their new lives, fully vaccinated and altered, are they offered for placement with exceptional families.
